The Surly Bookseller

Life's too short to read books that people you don't know tell you you HAVE to read ... unless I'm that person.

All You Need To Know About Me

My photo
The Surly Bookseller
Montgomery, Alabama, United States
I made a living for nearly 30 years as a bookseller at Capitol Book & News. I always joked that if I ever had the opportunity to open my own shop I'd call it The Surly Bookseller, but that just wasn't in the cards. When the store closed at the end of 2015, I set out to rediscover myself, to find a new plow to which I might put my hand, but I'm sentimentally attached to this title, so I'm keeping it. Like most other things in my life, it makes perfect nonsense now.
